WICKLINE BLUEGRASS ASSEMBLY
The Wickline Bluegrass Assembly is an educational, humorous, "fast paced and entertaining musical history lesson" that integrates music, language arts, and social studies as it explores the instruments and music of American Bluegrass. For eighteen years, Bob Wickline and his group toured for the Washington State Arts Commission’s Cultural Enrichment Program and they are back!! They have performed over two thousand school assemblies and evening family concerts which have been a “favorite” of Washington schools and communities for over twenty-five years. Tacoma's News Tribune wrote, "The children were so enraptured by the music that anyone would have thought they were listening to their favorite rap group,” and Linda Bellon Fisher, former Arts in Education Program manager, acknowledged, “Wickline’s training as a teacher, excellent musicianship, and obvious love of performing keeps audiences of all ages and musical preferences tapping their toes, clapping their hands, and singing along!”
Wickline Bluegrass founder, Bob Wickline, has been performing on stage, television, and radio since the age of six. Wickline has had seven records on the national charts, produced three CDs, and co-produced/directed the world's first "ski" music video album. Wickline productions have been seen or heard on “Today,” “Entertainment Tonight,” The Nashville Network, “MISS AMERICA,” “DAVEROSS SHOW,” ETC. As a part time public school teacher, Bob’s combined skills as a professional performer, educator, musician, and storyteller create a performance that is educational, well-paced, entertaining, motivating, professional, and FUN!!
